I’m Haley. The voice and heart behind The Blooming Brunette.

I grew up in rural Appalachia. As a child, I couldn’t wait to get out. Now, as a 30-something mom who has lived a multitude of places, I find myself wanting to return to a life I once ran from.

This isn’t to say that I want to return to West Virginia, though my heart holds it close. I just no longer crave escape in my life, but have a consistent yearning for peace. I want a home with soul, a slower kind of living, and finding beauty in the in-between.
